The Community Bank Performance Institute is a four-day school designed to inform and enhance community banks’ financial performance through the examination of ALM strategies, investments, liquidity management and scenario planning and analysis.

The Community Bank Performance Institute (CBPI) is designed to empower leaders in community banking with advanced financial knowledge, particularly in the areas of asset liability management (ALM), investments and regulatory preparedness through practical, hands-on learning.

Participants of this program will engage in a dynamic curriculum where classroom fundamentals set the stage for experiential learning via a Bloomberg lab and case study work.

Registration & Fees

CBPI is for financial managers, members of ALCO and executive officers who play a role in making investment decisions and/or are responsible for the financial performance of the bank. Bond Basics is a preparatory course for the investment and bond portfolio curriculum taught at CBPI.

Classroom Facilities

Classes are hosted at the University of Colorado Business School Leeds School of Business. The state-of-the-art building provides CBPI attendees access to live Bloomberg terminals.

He has been involved in banking and investments for almost 30 years, formerly serving as the chief investment officer and director of finance & treasury for a New England-based community bank.

Continuing Professional Education

Registrants can also count hours their CBPI coursework toward Continuing Professional Education (CPE). GSBC is registered with the NASBA as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses.
